Kids & Youth

We love our kids! Our Bible classes are age-appropriate, engaging and taught in a safe and caring environment. On the 1st Sunday of each month, our kids participate in Bible Bowl—a fun challenge that helps them learn God’s Word by memorizing a chapter of the Bible and being quizzed on it together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I stay with my child if they’re nervous or new?

Yes. If your child is nervous or it’s their first time, you’re welcome to stay close and help them get settled. Our goal is to make the first visit comfortable for both kids and parents.

Please let us know when you arrive. We’ll do our best to accommodate allergies and special needs and keep you informed if your child needs you. You can also share any important notes at check-in so we can care for your child well.

Kids classes are age-appropriate and Bible-focused. Each class includes a lesson from Scripture and time to engage through discussion and activities designed for their age group.

On Sundays, teens (9th–12th grade) are welcome to join the full worship service, and they also have a 9th–12th Grade Bible class where lessons are age-appropriate and focused on learning Scripture and applying it to everyday life. If it’s their first time, our greeters can help them find the right place to go.

Tell me about the monthly Bible Bowl? How does it work?

Yes. We do Bible Bowl on the 1st Sunday of each month. Kids prepare by learning a chapter of the Bible, and then they’re quizzed on it in a fun, encouraging way to help them grow in Scripture knowledge.

Kids are always welcome, and it’s completely normal if they need a break. We  offer a nursery for babies and small children, with the worship audio broadcast so you won’t miss what’s happening. You’re free to step out anytime, and you can decide what fits your family best—worshiping together in the main service or using our Bible class options.

Yes. We have a midweek youth meeting during Wednesday Bible study that helps students prepare for Bible Bowl by studying the meaning of the verses—not just memorizing them. We also do monthly potlucks, and we often go on monthly hikes around the island after the potlucks. Each year we host a week-long overnight summer camp, and we plan at least one youth-focused event every month.
